JAVELIN 395

Beating competition from over 40 European agencies, Atlantic Design was selected by Hitachi to create the concept and production designs for the interiors of its first fleet of new trains in the UK, the Class 395 “Javelin”. So called because of the critical role it would play in conveying passengers at high speed from St. Pancras Station in central London to the Olympic Park at Stratford for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games, “Javelin” would run on the new High Speed One line at up to 140mph.
